  1. WinX 1.5: Windows User Interface Extensions

  4. Instructions for installing WinX and getting started with it are contained
  5. in the file "winx.wri". That file can be read using the Write application
  6. which comes as a standard part of Windows.  Double-clicking on the
  7. "winx.wri" file in the File Manager window should automatically start up
  8. the Write application with the file opened.

  10. Since most Windows applications perform common windowing functions in similar
  11. ways, it is often possible to use a new application without reading its help
  12. manual.  The whole point of WinX, however, is to allow the user to perform
  13. windowing functions in new and better ways. That being the case, a quick
  14. review of the online help manual prior to using WinX is highly recommended.

  16. If you are really in a hurry to use WinX, simply run the executable
  17. "winx.exe" from Windows.  Hit the Help... button on its main window for
  18. online help.
